Recreation & Equipment Funding: President’s Choice Children’s Charity www.presidentschoice.ca/LCLOnline/aboutUsCharity.jsp Providing funding for mobility equipment, environmental modifications, physical therapy and more.
Canadian Tire Jump Start Program www.canadiantire.ca/jumpstart/funding.html Helping children become involved in organized sports and recreational activities through local community partners.
KidSport www.kidsport.ab.ca/index.php?page=chapters KidSport provides registration fees for sport programs which in keeping with the KidSport mission, provide a sustained sport experience led by qualified instructors.
Easter Seals Equipment and Support Services Program www.easterseals.ab.ca/site/OurPrograms/EquipmentAndSupportServices.aspx This important program provides Albertans with disabilities and special needs and their families with equipment not available through government or other community resources.
Children’s Ability Fund www.childrensabilityfund.ab.ca/whatwedo.shtml The Children’s Ability Fund will provide funding for specialized equipment for people with disabilities to assist them with everyday tasks that other may take for granted.
The Robin Hood Association The Robin Hood Association is committed to excellence in assisting individuals with disabilities to achieve their personal best and experience a quality lifestyle.
Dream/Wish Foundations Funding: Make A Wish Foundation Their mission is to grant wishes to create hope and happiness for children with life-threatening illnesses across Canada.
Sunshine Foundation of Canada Sunshine is the only Canadian charity making Dreams for Kids with severe disabilities as well as life-threatening illnesses come true.
Rainbow Society of Alberta The Rainbow Society of Alberta is dedicated to fulfilling wishes for Alberta children between the ages of 3 and eighteen with a chronic or life-threatening illness.
Children’s Wish Foundation Granting wishes to children with high-risk life-threatening illnesses is their primary line of business and the most powerful way in which The Children’s Wish Foundation fulfils its mandate.
Housing Modification Funding: Residential Access Modification Program (RAMP) www.seniors.gov.ab.ca/aadl/ramp/ RAMP is a program available to eligible wheelchair users to modify their home to be more wheelchair accessible. Applicants can apply for a RAMP grant for up to $5,000.
Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program for Persons with Disabilities (RRAP) www.cmhc-schl.gc.ca/en/co/prfinas/prfinas_003.cfm Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) offers financial assistance to allow homeowners and landlords to pay for modifications to make their property more accessible to persons with disabilities. These modifications are intended to eliminate physical barriers, imminent safety risks and improve the ability to meet the demands of daily living within the home.
Alberta Aids to Daily Living The AADL program helps Albertans with a long-term disability, chronic illness or terminal illness to maintain their independence at home, in lodges or group homes by providing financial assistance to buy medical equipment and supplies. An assessment by a health care professional determines the equipment and supplies that an Albertan can receive through this program.

Employment Related Funding: Disability Related Employment Supports (DRES) Provides assistance to Albertans in overcoming barriers to employment.
Emergency Funding: CTV/CFRN Good Neighbour Fund The CTV Good Neighbour Fund is a registered charitable organization that considers limited assistance to those individuals/families requiring support in exceptional cases not covered by other funding.
