The SBHANA is thrilled to announce it is part of Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink for 2023!

Want to make a bigger impact when supporting the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Northern Alberta? Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink is a program designed to help raise funds for local charities, engage the community in the Shaw Charity Classic golf tournament and provide matching funds for each charity involved.  

By making your donation to Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Northern Alberta through the Shaw Birdies for Kids portal, all administrative costs and efforts for the program including website administration, credit card fees, promotional materials, invoicing, etc. will be covered by the Shaw Charity Classic tournament. This means that 100% of all donated funds through the Foundation will go directly to the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Northern Alberta.

On top of your donation, the most exciting part of Shaw Birdies for Kids is the matching pool. For your generous contribution, up to 50% will be matched and the funds will go directly to Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Northern Alberta!

Spina bifida and hydrocephlaus are complex conditions affecting the central nervous system which arises in the first few weeks of pregnancy. SBHANA supports over 250 people with spina bifida and their families in northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories. The first contact is often from worried parents anxious for information and advice after having been told that the baby they are expecting has spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. The association continues to provide support, information and therapy to families and adults so they can enjoy fulfilling lives, belong to a community that understands and have a support system that covers their needs

All donations made to SBHANA help to support children and adults throughout Northern Alberta who are affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. You can donate in the following ways. A tax receipt will be sent for any donation $25 and over.

• Donate via Telephone – Donate over the phone using Visa or MasterCard. Call SBHANA at 780-451-6921 to donate.
• E Transfer Deposit – You can donate to SBHANA by E Trasfer to info@sbhana.org. Please fill out the donation page and email to ensure that you receive your tax receipt
• Donate by Mail – Sending a cheque to the SBHANA Office and  include the following form to ensure that you receive your tax deductible receipt.

We accept donations memory or in honour of a  individuals and if you provide us with the appropriate details, we can send a card to the family or individual specified.
